Kevin W. Caves, Ph.D., Vice President
Kevin Caves is Vice President at Empiris. Before joining Empiris, Dr. Caves worked as a Senior Economist at Criterion Economics and as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche. Before entering graduate school, he worked as an Assistant Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Dr. Caves has conducted research in industrial organization and applied econometrics. His work has adapted aggregated discrete choice demand system methods to markets with state dependence, and has also focused on structural econometric techniques for the identification of production functions. Dr. Caves’ economic consulting experience includes work in litigation and regulatory contexts, including modeling and estimation of damages, competition analysis in telecommunications, and public policy analysis.
Dr. Caves earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and a B.A. magna cum laude in economics from Haverford College.
