Jeffrey D. West is Senior Vice President at Empiris. Mr. West has eleven years of economic consulting experience. His experience includes calculation of damages, antitrust analysis, and auction support in a variety of industries.

Mr. West has provided extensive empirical support for clients in the financial services industry, including AIG, Fidelity Investments, and Bank of America. He has modeled equity markets in multiple securities litigation cases. He has performed econometric analyses of the effects on consumers of various insurance and mortgage pricing models. He has calculated damages to a savings institution resulting from the government’s breach of contract in a Winstar case. In addition, he has analyzed the effects of political responses to international economic crises in political risk insurance litigation matters.

Mr. West has also analyzed competition in the telecommunications industry for clients such as Verizon, AT&T, and the Walt Disney Company. Mr. West has provided auction support to participants in FCC wireless spectrum auctions, and he has assisted in the design of wholesale electricity markets in New England and in Colombia.

Mr. West earned a B.A. in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences from Northwestern University.
